Our Values
First and foremost, our approach comes from the heart. Its hallmarks are compassion and solidarity with all Life, in its myriad of manifestations.

We believe that all Life is sacred, to be treasured and enhanced. It does not matter whether it was once created (How and by Whom?), or whether it self-evolved. What matters is that Life wants to Be and to Become.

In order to continue to Be, Life has evolved a myriad of effective solutions to the problem of Survival. This striving for Survival must remain the first priority for any living Being. All other behaviors are structured in more-or-less direct ways to support the primary goal.

In order to continue to Become, Life has evolved a myriad of truly ingenious solutions to the problem of Reproducing or Replicating itself as part of overall Self-Aggrandizement and Self-Actualization.

These are Life's short-term and long-term strategies for self-Enhancement. They are used together, co-defining each other, as long as any Being is alive.

Thus we value first and foremost all people, for they are part of the Humanity's "Us". But we don't stop there! We also value all animals and plants, because they are all manifestations of Life. Special note to spiders and snakes reading this page: notice that we said "value", not "like"...

Furthermore, we are interested in proposing ways for the world to heal itself, rather than ways in which it can be merely "doctored up" by the powers-that-be. To this end, we present a list of American Cub Scout virtues as a fairly close approximation of the Fair Planet Movement values:

It really can be as simple as that.

Beware of anyone's message that does not clearly embody these values.  Remember:

The road to and of Wisdom does not pass through sophistry, denial, demagoguery, double-speak, character assassination, ad hominem attacks, out-of-context arguments and the like.

The road to and of Courage does not pass through machismo posturing, coercion, bullying, incitement to violence and the like.

The road to and of Self-Control does not pass through  complacency, condenscension, self-satisfaction, blame-games, mob-mentality group-think and the like.

The road to and of Justice does not pass through forgetting, excusing, post-facto justification, exceptionalism, self-righteousness and the like.

The road to and of Faith does not pass through blind obedience, technological and technocratic idolatry and the like.

The road to and of Hope does not pass through resignation, powerlessness, passivity, disengagement, alienation and the like.

The road to and of Love does not pass through  guilt trips, manipulation, score-keeping and the like.
